Practical information for joining BlogTalk 2009
BlogTalk 2009's programme and speakers have now been confirmed, and you may be wondering how you can participate in our conference. We will now describe each step in more detail.
Step 1. Registration
You can now register for the conference (for 300,000 KRW, about 240 USD and 167 EUR, until 26th August), which includes high-quality lunches for both days and the dinner party on the first day. If you are Korean, please register using the Korean page.
If you want to join Lift Asia 09 as well, you can register for both conferences (400,000 KRW until 26th August). This equates to a discount of 40% on the combined price.
Step 2. Reserving Your Flight(s) and Hotel
You have to reserve international flights from your country to Seoul. Please refer to the travel page for more details.
For hotels and domestic flights, we recommend that you reserve them through our travel agency. You can contact Mr. Namguk Kim at YB Tour (e-mail email@example.com or phone +82-2-2022-2427); the website is in Korean only. He will arrange a cheap domestic flight according to your schedule from Seoul (Gimpo) to Jeju, and he will also recommend a suitable hotel for you according to your financial requirements (ranging from 50 USD to 200 USD per night).
Our conference venue is the Hyatt Regency Jeju; nearby are the Shilla Hotel (100 metres), the Suites Hotel (150 metres), the Lotte Hotel and the Hana Hotel (both 200 metres away), ordered by distance. We recommend that you check out our accommodation page and also TripAdvisor's information and price comparisons for each hotel. Here are some more criteria for choosing a hotel (according to your preferences):
- For great ocean views, very near, but older and smaller rooms: Hyatt Regency Jeju
- For family, facilities, high-quality service, but a little expensive: Shilla Hotel
- For cheap and comfortable, but smaller rooms: Suites Hotel
- For a very cheap price, but older and smaller rooms: Hana Hotel
If you experience any problems contacting our travel agency, please do not hesitate to contact Channy Yun, the conference coordinator (e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org). We hope you have a nice trip and we will see you in Jeju!
Important Dates and Times
BlogTalk 2009 will begin at 9 AM on 15th September 2009 and will finish at 5 PM each day. We advise that you arrive in Jeju on 14th September.
